Camping Trip

This weekend me and my handsome manfriend went camping with my cousins and Nick and Danielle. We camped up north of Strawberry, in the middle of the woods, no toliet, no running water, and wandering elk!!! It rained and hailed for a good few hours on Saturday but we enjoyed the change of weather!

Swim Lesson

Today, Michael and I took advantage of the not so hot heat and took the girls swimming! They went a couple times last summer, but, we wanted to make sure they brushed up on their skills before it got to late!

This really is more of a memory jogger for myself. But, here is just a glimpse of what nursing school does to a girl!

May 19th:
0900: Exam 1, over stages of labor, birthing theory, family structure, and fetal heart monitoring.
1000: Lecture on newborns and infant nutrition.

At home:

• Look over family teaching project on bottle feeding.
• Sim lab paperwork
• High risk pregnancy drug cards
• Misc. research on pregnancy related topics

May 20th:
0800-1200: Sim lab

At home:

• Culture presentation
• Clinical exercise worksheets
• Banner Health learning modules
• Research project on nursing theorist; Jean Watson
• Find research article for paper due Sunday

May 21st:
0900-1150: Lecture

At home:

• Finish whatever I didn't finish the day before
• Start research paper
• Type function health patterns for our family teaching project
• Journal update on family project progress
• Discussion question for research and OB

May 22nd
0700-1900: Clinicals at Banner Thunderbird; goal...help deliver a baby!

I am sure I am forgetting something important that needs to be submitted but this is a good start!

One day I will look back on this and laugh, but right now...OVERWHELMED!

Please tell me, when is this madness going to end?! AND to top it off, all my shows that take my mind off it all have ended for the season. I guess the gym is going to be seeing a lot more of me these days!

Best Thing About Baking...

BATTER!!! I love the batter; brownies, cookies, cake, you name it! The best part about it is, you get your sweet fix from licking the spoon and then you don't have to taste the finished product!

Don't EVER Try These...

I saw this really yummy looking recipe for vanilla cupcakes on 'Cooking Yourself Thin' and decided to make them...I was all excited because they were healthy and didn't even use butter!

Needless to say, they were absolutely terrible! I am guessing zucchini wasn't the best choice to substitute for butter!

Mother's Day!

Today, we went out to Chandler and met with some of my mom's side of the family! We had a lot of fun, never a dull moment with these people! :)

So, since we made it through block 2 (hallelujah we are done with med-surg) Megan decided to throw a party at her house! We had tons of fun went out to the pool, tanned, ate, and played some games.
